Post n°7: Favorite movies

Firstly, I want to tell I don´t see movie often, and I don’t have a streaming service to watch movies, besides I don’t have time to sit in my sofa and see movies.

However, I also love some movies. My favorite movies of the genre of science fiction are the first three released movies of Star Wars by George Lucas, that movies have an amazing story, maybe the effects aren’t the best in the world, but in one of the movies contains a sentence most famous of the world: “I’m your father”. I would see that movies hundreds of times.

Also, I like the trilogy of “back to the future”, every time are transmitting that movies on the tv I see it, the travels in the DeLorean and the story of the movie do that a vintage movie of all times, and I would see that every time I could do that.

Also, I like the comedy movies, but with a ridiculous humor, I like a lot the movies like scary movie and parodies of another movies.

In segment of the children movies, my favorite movie is monsters Inc., when I was a child I saw that movies in VHS whenever I want, also I like toy story, Shrek, Ice Age, all are old movies.

Post N°6: Postgraduate Studies

It´s a hard topic, because I recently entered to university, but I am building an idea step by step of my postgraduate.

In the 5^th and 6^th year of the career, I have de chance to have the grade of teacher expert in music theory, I think I will choose that option.

But when I finish the career, one of my dreams is to become an orchestral director and lead (obviously) symphonic orchestras or chamber orchestras, I don´t know now.

I would like to study abroad, because I want to know how is the education system abroad and learn things to reach my dream, but if it wouldn’t be possible, I think of studying here in Chile I would not have problems.

For me, I think would be ideal I could study in a part-time course, because sometimes I will not have internet to attend the classes through on-line way, provided that I prefer the attendance way, going once, twice times a week, it would be excellent for me, because I could work and study same time.

If I would have the grade as an orchestral director, I would like to work in a school and found an orchestra, I don´t matter the payment, I think reaching my dream, it will make me happy.

Post N°5: My Future Job

Until now, I am studying music theory in University of Chile. I don´t know what things will there for me, however I will talk about my dreams being a professional man.

When I decided to study music theory, I saw the subjects I would have in the university of Chile, and then I saw the possibilities I could take. I decided to be a music teacher, I knew it could be hard, but it isn´t impossible find a job.

I think my ideal job is teaching to teens different things obviously all related with music, like teaching about the music theory, doing music class and/or teaching an instrument. Also, another dream is to be an orchestra director, I don´t know yet if that orchestra would be big or small, but I want to lead an orchestra. I think it will makes me happy. I imagine entering a classroom every days and teaching, the students paying attention and very interested in the class. When I become in an orchestra director, my dream is lead, famous pieces like the 5^th symphony of Beethoven. I am undecided about working inside or outside, because if I work in a school, I am obliged to do classes inside a classroom, but if I play in a concert I would work outside.

I think like everybody, I would like to travel, but being a teacher it´s a little hard because you will be working in a school/university every day, but if it is possible I would do that.

About the salary, everybody hopes to receive an excellent salary, but not all can get the same money, but I think when someone has a vocation the salary doesn´t really matter.  

Post n°4: My favorite albums

I think the 95% of the day I am with my headphones on and choosing a playlist or an album to listen to. So now I will talk about some of my favorite albums.

Now, I will begin with Chilean music, specifically with a band called “Los Jaivas”. My favorite albums of that band are: “Aconcagua”, “Obras de Violeta Parra”, “Alturas de Machu Picchu”, "Cancion del Sur", the last album contains beautiful songs by their lyrics and music. I think I chose those albums by the sound of them. Those albums have a perfect fusion of rock instruments and Latin American music, my favorite songs of those albums are: “Mambo de Machaguay”, “Huairuro”, “Takirari del Puerto”, “El Gavilán”, “Run run se fue pal norte”, “La Poderosa muerte” and “Antigua America”. My first vinyl disc was “Obras de Violeta Parra

The rock and the heavy metal are my favorite genres of music, was hard, but I chose:

“The wall” of Pink Floyd, it is a conceptual album, so, it tells a story, I chose that album because the music and the lyrics made it a perfect album, my favorite songs of it, are: “Comfortably numb”, “Young Lust”, ”Another brick in the wall pt.2” and “The Trial”. This album is the one I listen the most.

“The Number of the Beast” by Iron Maiden, it was the first album that I listened of Iron Maiden and my reaction was “god, it’s an amazing album, my favorite songs of the album are: “Gangland”, “Run to the Hills” and “The Number of the Beast”

“Kill’em all” by Metallica, a classic of the band, it’s a brutal album, my favorite songs are: “Phantom Lord” and “Seek and Destroy”

Post N°3: An instrument that I love

In 2010, when I could enter to flute workshop in the school that I studied, I decided to join in. I had ever think that the flute is an interesting instrument and it has a beautiful sound. So that year I begun to learn how to play flute. Also, I was learning to read music scores and it were my firsts steps in the music. When I learnt the basic things of the instrument, a music teacher, invited me to play flute in an orchestra in a Christmas concert. That day I felt it are my instrument. I began playing a flute more less spoiled, but when the school when I studied, bought new flutes, so I learned new things of the instrument, and the sound was much better.

The years was passing and I continued to attend to that workshop in the school, with my dear miss and I think when I was learning new things in the music, I was building my future, because the taste for the music was growing up, provided that, I decided study to music.

I think, the flute was the impulse to my life like musician.

Post N°2: The best concert I’ve been to

That day were playing two of mi favorite bands, Iron Maiden and Anthrax, that concert was in Chile the 11th march of 2016, in the national stadium. I was very excited for that concert, because I had never gone to a concert. I went to that concert with my brother, because both like Iron Maiden.

When we arrive to the stadium, we was waiting a few minutes to the doors opening and then we ran to the location we had bought. First was playing a band called “The Raven Age”, after of an hour, begun to play Anthrax, there, I begun to sing the songs, because I knew the songs of the band. At last, my favorite band begun their show, we were full of euphoria. the show begun with a song called “if eternity should fail”. And with my brother didn’t stop to sing and scream. I think one of best parts of the concerts, was when the pet of the band “Eddie” appears 2-3 times.

After of 2 hours of concert, we went to home, tired but very happy, I think that concert I will never forget

Post N°1: A country I’d like to visit

Hello everybody!

Well. I’ve never been abroad, provided that, I’ve never been out of Chile.

I would like to visit Italy, I had seen pictures of that country on the tv so, when I saw the monuments and historic buildings makes me desire to travel there. I think it could be a nice experience.

about Italy, I know a few things of that country, there are many beautiful historic buildings, like the coliseum in Rome, the tower of Pisa, the Vatican, etc.

I would like to visit the historical monuments, like the coliseum, meet the insides and take a lot of photos, visit the tower of Pisa, visit Rome, and I’d like to do an authentic Italian moment: sail in gondola in Venice, and listen to a concert of classical music.

I would like to study in Italy, because the content that I study, the tonal system, comes from Europe, so, I’d like to know, how do they study the music.

My dream, is in the future, travel to Italy
